Six residents on Bechtel Street in Cambridge now have an affordable housing option, thanks to modular homes constructed from shipping containers, built by NOW Housing. Two of the six units were specifically modified to meet the needs of individuals with accessibility requirements.
In September 2022, a new emergency shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness opened in Kitchener. The King Street Shelter was a component of the Region's Interim Housing Solutions Strategy, which was approved by Regional Council in August 2022.

Successfully leading the Region of Peels emergency response to this crisis for over 6 months working closely with the Mississauga Fire Chief and Mississauga Mayor ensuring displaced residents were supported with basic needs and a place to stay.
In 2014 a fatal fire required support for weeks to over 18 displaced family homes in Brampton. Leading another response and working closely with first responders and The Red Cross making sure families were supported with basic needs and psychosocial supports during a tragic time.
